On 11 May 2026, Tomansa delivered an online training event in Cyprus entitled “The Myth of the Average in Learning and the Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Special Education.”

The session was delivered by S. Retalis in the context of the EDU690 course “Application of New Technologies in Special Education”, part of the MEd in Special Education and New Technologies.

The presentation focused on the diversity of learners’ needs and the limitations of one-size-fits-all approaches in education. It also explored the potential of Artificial Intelligence to support more personalised, inclusive, and flexible learning experiences, particularly in the field of Special Education.

The event targeted teachers, student teachers, researchers, university professors, education policy makers, education authorities, and education industry stakeholders. Approximately 11 participants were reached at local level.

This dissemination activity contributed to the promotion of inclusive AI-supported education and highlighted the relevance of the project’s work for Special Education and personalised learning.
